Merry Christmas!

I want to take the time and wish everyone a Merry Christmas!! After the whirlwind of eight shows and worrying about inventory, I've mostly taken a break this month from anything glass-related. However, I've been brainstorming some new ideas thanks to Andrea Guarino's wonderful class I took last November.

So last night I finished making a double batch of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and I've spent the afternoon making decorative bags for the cookies to give to family and friends. I just used regular paper lunch bags, thick ivory paper and red vellum, then finished them off with curly ribbon. I really love how they turned out! Afterwards I finished wrapping presents, and I sincerely hope my cat stays out of them... I caught her licking the ribbon earlier. LOL...

Time to pour some resin then get ready for Midnight Mass. :) Have a fabulous evening, and I hope Santa brings ya what you want. :)

The Letterpress Calendar by Lark Press! Unfortunately, it turns out they are sold out. :( So the 2nd place winner is the one I got... the 2009 Little Birdie Desk Calendar by Joom. I love all the little birdies and can't wait to display it on my desk!

Also, if you voted on my blog your name was entered to win a Galileo Pendant... congratulations to Lisa! She had voted for the one by larkpress (still a little sad about that one). Lisa, please contact me so I can send your prize. :)

So currently, it's sleeting like crazy outside. UGH... totally hate ice. Snow I can handle, ice is just plain nasty stuff! Well, I hope everyone has a fabulous evening!

2009 Calendar Contest ~ Help Me Choose!

I've been cruising Etsy the last week or so, buying gifts for friends of family. I have every intention of making this a handmade Christmas to support fellow US artists. So while looking letterpress holiday cards, I noticed the calendars are out in full force.

Hmm... I need a calendar... something cool on desk to among the chaos of papers at work. I love well... too many of them to decide! So this is where you come in! Vote for your favorite calendar by simply commenting in this post. You'll then be added in drawing which will be done December 14 and the winner will receive a Galileo Pendant. Remember to leave me some sort of contact info in case you win!

So help me out here will ya? The choices are...

Big Ass Indie Craft Show

I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend! I ate too much on Thursday and got up way to early on Friday. Yep... I was one the crazies that got up at 3:30 a.m. to stand in line at Walmart. That place was a freaking madhouse, but I wanted the portable DVD player for my studio. :) In and out in 15 minutes and back in bed by 6 a.m!

So the holidays marked an absolute frenzy for me... 3 craft shows in 2 weeks! Home for the Holidays and the the Rock n' Roll where this past weekend and both were VERY successful for me. This upcoming weekend, December 5-7 marks my last show for the season... the Big Ass Indie Art & Craft Show! It'll be held in Mad Art Gallery, 2727 S. 12th Street, St. Louis, MO 63118.
